Man accused of extinguishing cigarette on girlfriend’s arm, pointing handgun

RODMAN, NYJessie J. Kellar, 44, of 12465 School St., Apt. 1, Rodman, was charged late Friday night with criminal possession of a firearm, a felony, second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment following a domestic incident, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Kellar is accused of extinguishing his cigarette on the arm of his girlfriend, Sherry L. Fowler, 54, slapped her cellphone form her hand and repeatedly stepped on it preventing her from calling for law enforcement assistance and pointed a .40-caliber Kahr pistol at her while stating “There you go bitch. It’s cocked and loaded,” at about 8:30 p.m. Friday at their residence, according to court documents.

He was arraigned before Adams Town Justice Robert J. Newark who sent him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with bail set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.
