DEXTER, NY — Anne W. Doane, Dexter, NY, passed away June 23, 2019, peacefully at 89-years-old at Samaritan Summit Village, Watertown, where she had resided for two and a half years.
Born Jan. 7, 1930, to the late Lewis and Marjorie Webert, she graduated from IHA and was always proud of being Queen of the Academy.
She has a sister Mary Lou Shaughnessy whom she adored. She married Ralph
Doane on Dec. 26, 1948. They had three children, Kipp Doane, Kathy Doane
Hogan and Kerry Doane.
They built the Rustic Golf Club in 1967, owned and operated it until her husband’s death in 1994. She was very proud of their place. She retired in 1993 at the age of sixty three.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hogan, grandchildren Kristy and Katy of Dexter, Kendra and Kipp II of Round Rock, Texas, Sean of Dexter and Erica of Orlando, Florida, as well as nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her sons Kerry and Kipp, and daughter in law Kathleen Jardin Doane.
She enjoyed her great grandchildren visiting her, doing the New York Times Crossword Puzzles, cooking, as well as watching soap operas, the Food Network
and Hallmark movies.
Per her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
There will be a private burial at the family’s convenience.
