CARTHAGE, NY — Linda C. Doney, 76, of Washington Street, Carthage, passed away Sunday morning, June 23, 2019, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
Born Feb. 19, 1943, in Carthage, NY, a daughter of the late Walter M. and Ethel L. Rohde King, she attended Carthage Jr. / Sr. High School.
She married Howard R. Colson. The marriage later ended in divorce.
She married Leon F. Doney in Daytona Beach, FL, in 1978. Mr. Doney died Sept. 20, 2011.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Connie Colson
of Flagler Beach, FL, Timothy and Maria Colson of Tallahassee, FL; three
step-children Jeanette and Arthur Burghardt of Chittenango, Maribeth
Doney of Daytona Beach, FL, and Kevin Doney of Canastota; a sister, Betty
Jean Martin of Black River; a brother, Tom King of Carthage; seven
grandchildren, a great-grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Doney Jr.; a son, Jeffrey Colson; two
brothers, Herbert Cross; and Jerry King, who died in infancy; and two
sisters, Elaine Hubbard; and Sharon King, who died in infancy.
Linda returned to Carthage in October 2015.
