LOWVILLE, NY – Barbara Andrea Simek, 24, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the town of Watson on N. Chases Lake Road.
Barbara was born Nov. 11, 1994, in Bronxville, NY, the daughter of Gerald Martin “Jerry” and Christine A. Mundy Simek. She was fondly named after her grandmothers, Barbara Mundy and Andrea Simek.
She graduated from Beaver River Central School in 2013 and the Glenfield B.O.C.E.S. Nursing program. While in school she loved playing volleyball and spending time with her friends.
Barb was a certified nursing assistant and had work at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.
She is survived by her son, Jarrett Francis Cranker, her parents, Jerry and Chris, Jarrett’s father, Nate Cranker, her God parents, Frank Mundy and Marion Mundy, her uncle Joey, aunt Kathy, and aunt Jennifer.
Barbara was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Gerald and Andrea Simek and maternal grandparents, Francis and Barbara Mundy.
Calling hours for family and friends will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Sundquist Funeral Home.
