WATERTOWN, NY —Â City firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment house at 405 Stone St. at about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023.
According to city records, the property is owned by Moet Properties, LTD, 641 5th Ave., New York City.
The fire was reported knocked down before 3 p.m.
A cat was safely removed from the structure by a firefighter.
Mutual aid from the Fort Drum Fire Dept. was canceled.
The American Red Cross, a fire investigator and City Code Enforcement have been requested at the scene.
Guilfoyle Ambulance and city police also assisted at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
