EDWARDS, NY — Richard E. Day, 78, of Court Street, Edwards, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at St. Lukes Healthcare, New Hartford, NY.
BornFeb. 7, 1940, in Russell, NY, a son of Oscar Alfred and Bessie Mae Garvey Day, he attended schools in Hermon.
He married Linda Weir of Gouverneur, NY. She passed away in August 2010.
Survivors include a sister, Alice Weaver, Potsdam, NY; a nephew, RJ Durham, Heuvelton, NY; close friends who he lived with, Robert and Jeanne Peters, Edwards, NY.
His parents, his wife, two brothers, Almon Day and Oscar Day, three sisters, Mabel Durham, Ruth Peabody and Maude Miller all died previously.
There will be no services.
