Timothy C. Tabolt, 66, Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY — Timothy C. Tabolt, 66, of 133 Pratt St., Watertown, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home with his family at his side.

Born June 30, 1952, in Carthage, the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor A. Dunn Tabolt, he graduated in 1971 from Carthage High School.

He was a proud member of the Red & Black Football Team and he was inducted into the CWA 2006 Hall of Fame Class for his Wrestling Career during his high school years at Carthage. He was so proud and had such wonderful memories.

After high school he joined the United States Navy Reserves. He was employed as a machinist in the Parts & Assembly Division at the New York Airbrake in Watertown, NY until he medically retired in 2006.

He married Jean Secor in June of 1984. The couple had three children together, Nichole Tabolt-Smith, Watertown; Danielle Tabolt-Catania, Watertown; and Joseph Tabolt, Japan. He loved spending time with his family and children.  He is also survived by a sister, Anita Murray, who he always appreciated her help, love and support.  A brother, Ron Tabolt & his companion Sherri McBride, Adams; he loved spending time with him, a brother-in-law Richard Secor, Jr. Carthage; four grandchildren, Caleb, Angela, Landon, and Isabel.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Rob Tabolt; a sister, Coleen Hamilton; and a brother in-law James Murray.

He was a past member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He enjoyed lifting weights, being in the gym, running, biking and skating.  He loved spending time with his family, camping, going to amusement parks and taking day trips.

Calling Hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service., 500 State St., Carthage. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, in the chapel of the funeral home. A graveside service will immediately follow in the North Watertown Cemetery with military honors. There will be a luncheon following the service at the Elks Lodge, 728 Bradley St., Watertown.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations in his memory be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association the local branch located at 120 Washington St, Watertown, NY 13601
