Watertown woman had 0.25% BAC, two children in vehicle, police say

WATERTOWN, NYTwanisha S. Killian-Graham, 29, of 312 Gotham St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at IHOP, 1290 Arsenal St. with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, endangering the welfare of a child, no child seat and refusal to take a breath test.

A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI, which carries harsher penalties upon conviction, is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or greater. Her BAC was 0.25 percent, police said.

Police said she had a 4-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy as passengers in her vehicle. There was no child seat in the vehicle for the 4-year-old, according to court documents.

She is summoned to appear June 14 in City Court.
