Watertown man accused of choking, pushing woman

WATERTOWN, NYSkelly A. Crowell, 44, of 723 Franklin St., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 6:58 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the 200 block of William Street with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation, a misdemeanor, second-degree burglary, a felony, and second-degree harassment.

He is accused of unlawfully entering 375 Flower Ave. E., intentionally pushing Rebecca Byrd, 31, causing her to fall backwards onto a couch and applied pressure to her neck with his hands causing her to have difficulty breathing at about 7:25 p.m. Jan. 29, according to court documents.

He was being held pending arraignment Friday morning in City Court.
